Sorry to post sad news, and news which I suspect many know already, but Anne MacCaffrey has died.

She was a guest at the very first Armadacon I attended, Armadacon 2, and a very good guest she was. I can't really give a critical appreciation of her work, or of her place in Science-fiction, but those of her books I have read, I have enjoyed.

A lot of people will miss her.

This is, indeed, a very sad loss to the world of literature.

I never met her, as my first ArmadaCon was 4; but I understand she was a superb guest.

I have not read many of her books; but those I have, I enjoyed.
