OK, let's see if we can some activity going in a different area of this board!!

What is everyone's favourite lyric from a song?
It doesn't have to be fandom related; just what is your favourite lyric?

OK, I'll start; this is taken from the Genesis song 'Dancing with the Moonlit Knight'; it's a song that is full of imagery.

The lyric is: "Paper late cried a voice in the crowd...Old man dies, the note he left was signed Old Father Thames, it seems he's drowned"

I love it, the idea of Old Father Thames drowning; brilliant :D

OK, who's next :D

There's several that sometimes runs around in my head. Here's the one in my head at the moment. It's from The Simpsons.

(To the tune of The Flintstones).

Simpson. Homer Simpson
He's the greatest guy in history.
From the, town of Springfield,
He's about to hit a Chestnut tree.

It's near the start of the episode as Homer is driving home. Yes, it does hit the Chestnut tree!

Here's the lines that run through my head the most.

It's so nice to be insane. No one asks you to explain.
All alone once more, Angie baby.

That's been stuck in my head since the 1970's.
