You got it its the saga begins the "Weird Al's" parody of don McLean's American pie.

Oh well at least it lasted (slightly) longer than it's 13 minute run time - It is Georges Méliès 1902 film A Trip to the Moon which if you haven't seen it is actually quite fun.
It is available on youtube in black and white with an orchestral accompaniment or a rather trippy colourised version.
