Gotham

Did anyone else watch Gotham on Channel 5? Alan and I did and we liked it, it is suitably dark and adult. I liked the casting, in particular the Penguin. I thought Sean Pertwee was a good choice for Alfred, although we didn't get to see him very much in this first episode, (I admit to being a fan and think he has been very underrated over the years). I am looking forward to future episodes.
Regards,

Rotobunny.

Caught it yesterday as well and I liked it too. And I agree about it being very well cast; I thought the young master Bruce was suitably intense. I hope it continues its strong start.

yes i saw it too :D

i too think casting Sean Pertwee as Alfred was a very good idea

I also have to agree with Jasper, that young Bruce was another good casting

The very end of the episode shows a very interesting start to the evolution of the Penguin!

One thing though; I'm guessing that's a young Catwoman, who stole the milk and fed the cat???

Young Catwoman, young Poison Ivy (the daughter of the bloke that got framed for the Wayne's murder - and I suspect a snapshot of Joker (the comedian at Fish's club)

Caught the second episode last night, and I'm still liking it.

Still dark and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it stays in the sort darkness that makes you catch your breath, and doesn't cross the line in the sort of nastiness which leaves a sour taste and makes you wonder why you bother watching.

Last episode hads it "Ick" moments, and if you've seen it you'll know what I mean, but to me anyway it was on the right side of that line.
