Now, I'm a bit of a fan of the CSI franchise. Each of three series has it's merits and faults. If any of the three needs to be killed off, it's the original. I'm sorry, but Ted Danson just doesn't cut it. Fishbourne was edgy, but Peterson had style. It took me a few episodes to get used to Dave C (I liked him in NYPD Blue) and I thought the characterisations of the cast were good. As for Gary S in New York, I miss the sets of the first season. I wonder why Miami was cancelled?

Cost I expect, Miami had the most location work. Also rating of 2.1 as opposed to csi:ny 4 and csi:lv 2.4 didn't help.
